For the VLK (Vlaamse Liga tegen Kanker) we created a campaign to announce the Day against Cancer on September 15th. The theme this year is awareness for the poverty that is sometimes caused by cancer.

Cancer patients not only have a lower income, but on top of that, they often have increased medical costs. These are caused by the supplementary care they need during their fight against this disease that isn’t refunded by social security. So not only do they have to deal with the terrible disease, they also get a financial blow.

The VLK calls out to all politicians to work towards a better financial protection for cancer patients. To put pressure on politicians, we urge everyone to visit the campaign website at www.kankermaaktarm.be and reinforce this call.

A film with Czar, a radio commercial and Facebook ads should lead the way.

Saatchi started the day with a couple of fresh faces eager to get to work.

Pulling out the big guns with former Duval Guillaume Jonathan Moerkens taking position as senior account manager and joining our kick-ass design team is former Network BBDO South-Africa James Kruger.

Gracing our reception area is Kenza El Khanf who will be reinforcing the administrative team / reception, while returning after a couple of months of maternal bliss are both Niki Peeters and Wendy Galle. Last but not least our former intern Zoë Cooreman is now an official account as of today.

To everyone out there returning from well deserved holidays, a warm welcome back. As you can see, we are ready to continue creating great work for you.

icoach-logo Not something you hear everyday in a Saatchi office, but this is the basic idea that we’re putting in place for the new European Commission’s Anti-smoking campaign. We’ve decided to celebrate the Ex-Smoker and talk about the good things that come from giving up, but also the motivations that pushed people to become an Ex-Smoker.

We’ve teamed up with world-renowned photographer Rankin to shoot this part of the campaign and you could be the star! We are looking for 27 people from across Europe that are Ex-Smokers, or have made the decision to give up. Just signed up to the iCoach, our online stop smoking coach and post your picture and story to the Unstoppable Facebook Wall of your country.

So sign up today and we’ll help you give up and maybe reward you by sending you to London to have your photo taken by Rankin, but stopping has all the rewards you need.
