
Last week Saatchi & Saatchi Brussels participated in a very original action, the ‘Belgian agencies’ virtual strike’, an initiative of the Belgian Association of Communication Companies (ACC). The homepages of the leading Belgian advertising agencies were closed for a week and replaced by a letter displayed over all the sites of the participating agencies. It is a plea for efficient pitches, a plea to respect the industry charter that was agreed between the advertisers and the agencies. This charter sets reasonable norms for pitches such as the number of agencies in a pitch and the contribution to agencies’ pitch costs. Saatchi & Saatchi Brussels supports this charter and therefore also this clever virtual strike.
